The latest innovation in digital printing is the UV Transfer Sticker. But what are UV Stickers? And what kind of things can they be applied to?
UV transfer stickers are similar to DTF Heat Transfers, in that the design is printed directly onto a film which can then be used to transfer the print onto other objects. However, whilst DTF Heat Transfers are intended for heat-pressing onto fabrics, UV Transfer Stickers can be applied to most hard surfaces without requiring heat or a press. They work very similarly to traditional stickers. But, because the prints are protected by a UV varnish, the print is more permanent - remaining stable and highly resistant to scratching - and the colours last longer too.
UV Transfer stickers are a type of adhesive label that uses ultraviolet (UV) light to cure the ink, making the prints more durable and vibrant. Here are some advantages of UV transfer stickers:
They are more resistant to fading, water, and scratches than other print methods, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
The UV curing process enhances colour quality, resulting in bright and vivid designs.
They can be applied to various surfaces, including plastics, metals, and glass.
The UV curing process allows for faster production times compared to traditional methods.
Many UV inks are low in volatile organic compounds (VOCs), making them a more environmentally friendly choice.
These qualities make UV transfer stickers popular for branding, packaging, and personal projects.
