DTF printing is a fantastic technology, but it does require the very best of care to consistently deliver the best results, time and time again. So what do we do that others don't, and how does this difference make our transfers better?
The DTF printing process is very sensitive to temperature and humidity changes. Even the slightest variance in either can significantly affect both the colours and the long term longevity of the prints. However, most DTF printing companies either operate from their garage, or premises with no control of the working environment at all. At Tiger Prints, all of our printing equipment and consumables are constantly kept at the optimum temperature and humidity levels, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We only use the very best films, inks, and equipment. These were chosen after painstaking research and evaluation. We not only look for the best quality of the materials, but also for the consistency of that quality. For example, our hot peel film not only produces the best colours and print details we have seen, but the film is also really easy to peel after pressing.
There are many different types and sizes of DTF machines being sold, but as with every other technology, using the very best equipment really does make a big difference. We use the very latest cutting edge equipment available, using the best print heads currently available for DTF printing (for example, we currently use 4-head i3200 printers). We have also developed our own purpose-made equipment where needed, to further improve the quality and reliability of our production processes.
The majority of DTF print companies believe that customers are only interested in bright, vibrant colours. They achieve this by over-saturating the artwork, making it vibrant but at the expense of colour accuracy and consistency. In our experience, many customers have gone to a lot of trouble to choose their colours correctly, and simply want their colours to be reproduced as accurately as possible. This is why we have gone to great lengths ourselves to make our colours as accurate as possible. There are limitations with the colour range of the CMYK print process, especially when the same prints are used on different fabrics and colours. However, by being in control of our own ICC calibration and profiling, as well as using the best RIP technology, we have been able to consistently achieve the most accurate colours we have seen with DTF. This means that we can offer both accurate and vibrant colours.
It's fine to use the best equipment and consumables, but the only way to know that they are all working optimally at all times is to perform regular Quality Control checks. We have developed a QC System that regularly monitors the quality of our prints, ensuring that the prints are as consistent in colour reproduction and performance as possible.
In the printing industry, we are unique in that we have developed all our systems and tools in-house, from the ground up. We do not rely on any 3rd-party software or add-ons for our website. This is why we can listen to our customers' needs, and can make improvements and add new features in a short space of time.
Because we have purpose-built our systems from the ground up, we have been able to exploit computer technology to its fullest from the outset. As we scale up, our operation will become even more streamlined without compromising quality in any way. This will have several benefits, not least that we will save our long-term customers more time and money - hence the loyalty scheme that we will soon be launching.
We are constantly researching and evaluating new consumables and equipment, as well as developing our own. We are also at the forefront of new innovations in this industry. As a result, we have some amazing new developments in the pipeline.
